The main idea behind this programme was to capture the grace of a raga to give the song a structurally strong form and respectability of being a reminder of the raga. The idea was also to access the extent of relationship between Atulprasad Sen's songs an the classical rendition of the raga which Atulprasad Sen used to set many of his songs in tune. It is widely known among classical music artists that the tunes of Sen's song were not true copies of the structure of the ragas in toto but a marked resemblance between the two. Attempts were made to ind out the areas of resemblances and differences by singing the song and rendering the raga in correct classical layout simaltaneously. The result was enjoyable and to a large extent knowledgeable also.
